Lily is currently working on the VFX Team for Jake Kasdan’s Jumanji Open World, in post-production. Previously, she worked in production on Ang Lee’s Gold Mountain VFX Team, and Tim Story’s 72 Hours VFX Post-Production Team. Additionally, she gained experience through Film Distribution & Management Coordinating jobs, as well as independent filmmaking. As a teen, she was extensively trained in film acting, and was an agented actor, gaining professional, set experience.
Lily’s storytelling adventures were cultivated at USC School of Cinematic Arts’ Directing & Producing for a Major Studio Coursework, in conjunction with NBCUniversal with a “Best in Class” Directing acknowledgement. She graduated with distinction in April 2024 in the Film Directing & Producing BFA program at Art Center College of Design. While at Art Center College of Design, Lily was awarded multiple merit-based scholarships. She was also awarded the prestigious Koerner Camera Systems Filmmaking Scholarship at Portland State University, where she was on the Dean’s List.
On set, Lily strives for positivity and understanding in facing the long hours, and serious, daily demands of solution-oriented teamwork. She’s interested in cultivating minority talent in her own films, and has volunteered to teach kids’ filmmaking at Boys and Girls Club of Portland. #futurefilmmakers
Lily’s YouTube travel channel, Lily Beyond Borders, gained sudden momentum in April 2019, when a Disney travel video went viral with 7.35 million views. During covid shutdowns, Lily’s creativity was channeled into writing seven novels, and was chosen as a #WriteMentor mentee, from thousands of applicants.
